Migraines: Getting at the Root to Fix the Problem

Migraines are an extremely debilitating neurological disorder that has headaches as one of its major symptoms. In the USA, as many as 38 million people suffer from migraines. You never know when a migraine will hit, and this can lead you to decline invitations to social events or family activities in fear of the next attack. When a migraine hits, the only thing you can think about is how to get rid of it. Migraines certainly leave a path of destruction in one’s life.

Caring for Migraines – a New Development

A news report recently talked about a new way to care for migraines. What is involved? Basically, the nerves that cause migraines are frozen so as to temporarily reduce their ability to create pain. This is similar to what happens when you get Botox injections for migraines to block nerve pain. The bad news is, with both of these tactics, the nerves eventually renew themselves, leading to more migraines and thus more procedures, creating a vicious cycle. The nerve freezing method has been known only to last between 6 to 16 weeks, making many wonder if there is an alternative method that is more dependable.

Natural, Reliable Migraine Relief

Here at Pancake Wellness Center in Kissimmee, Florida, we focus on the top bone of the cervical spine, the atlas (C1). If the atlas has moved out of its original position, it can hinder cerebrospinal fluid and blood flow from reaching the brain properly. Disruptions in proper nerve signals have also been noted. In order to correct this, deadening the nerves or blocking them will not help. Instead, we use a gentle method to help the atlas bone to move back into place. This allows the body to begin to repair itself, leading to a restoration of blood flow, cerebrospinal fluid flow, and communication. Once the atlas is properly adjusted, people have seen their migraines get better or even go away completely.
